Sun in Our Fury

When a wildfire starts, It lives a life of its own

And it’s the same for our anger

We can destroy everything in our paths
If we let ourselves boil beyond a controllable point

But who will be slain as a casualty?

The fire in the earth’s core
Lives tightly packed within the confines Of our skin and bones

Will we use it to light up the world And spread warmth
Or will we choose to let it burn?
